Must be reliable and motivated towards helping others; be mature, patient and show evidence of personal qualities or character and empathy; be able to use good judgement, able to control temper, relate in a friendly manner and follow guidelines, policies and procedures; be able to work in close contact with juvenile detainees and must be able to work with emotionally disturbed and\/or violent children. Officers work a flexible schedule that may include night shifts, weekends and holidays. This job has the potential of becoming full time. Starting pay $20.16\/hr. Mail to: Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention, Training &amp; Rehabilitation Center\u00a0 03389 Co Rd 24 25 Stryker OH 43557 or email to\u00a0<\/em>MelissaGarza@nwojdc.com<em>\u00a0For complete job description, e:mail\u00a0<\/em>MelissaGarza@nwojdc.com<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Preference may be given to applicants who: have acquired a baccalaureate degree conferred by a college or university accredited by an accrediting organization; have one or more year(s) of experience in full-time corrections, or with a juvenile agency that deals with offenders, or emotionally disturbed and\/or violent children; or those who have served honorably in the U.S. military.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Teacher \u2013 Full Time<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Teachers of the Northwest Ohio Juvenile Detention, Training and Rehabilitation Center will<br>provide yearly academic instructions to juvenile residents confined in the Detention Center and<br>teach residents in accordance with professional teaching standards, program goals and<br>structure.<br>Responsibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Provides services that implement the educational mission of the Detention Center.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Assess educational needs of juvenile residents.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Analyzes records to identify students&#8217; immediate and long-range needs.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Collaborate with schools to ensure students are placed in correct courses, and high<br>school graduation requirements are being fulfilled.
